WHAT AN ADVENTURE THIS WAS – I FOUND ‘THE BEACH’ – SCOTLAND STYLE!
I’ll keep this post brief, as I made a promise to a local guy I came across on one of these remote beaches who asked “please don’t share this location on facebook!” So I won’t – some places deserve to be kept quiet & peaceful.
All I will say is google maps is a very useful tool. I knew that the Scottish Inner & Outer Hebrides have some amazing white sands and turquoise beaches, and if you time a visit to these places right with the weather – they are up there with any beach in the world! So I done my research on google maps, picked off some quieter parts of some islands where the sand looked white, and the sea turquoise – and planned an adventure to see what I could discover. An adventure is very important in this day and age when everywhere is almost too accessible which spoils the fun of exploring and coming across genuine “hidden gems” – when you come across something you had no idea about – the feeling is pretty special. I hope these photos of remore Scottish beaches inspire you to plan an adventure of your own!

Looks amazing and good on you for not sharing the exact location – a lot of these picture perfect places are becoming over run these days
It certainly was an amazing place Sue – and yeh it’s good to have some beauty spots left that are not over run
