WHAT AN ADVENTURE THIS WAS – I FOUND THE BEACH – SCOTLAND STYLE!

I’ll keep this post brief, as I made a promise to a local guy I came across on one of these remote beaches who asked “please don’t share this location on facebook!” So I won’t – some places deserve to be kept quiet & peacefull.

All I will say is google maps is a very useful tool. I knew that the Scottish Inner & Outer Hebrides have some amazing white sands and turquoise beaches, and if you time a visit to these places right with the weather – they are up there with any beach in the world! So I done my research on google maps, picked off some quieter parts of some islands where the sand looked white, and teh sea turquoise – and planned an adventure! And an adventure is very important in this day and age when everywhere is almost too accessible which spoils the fun of exploring and comig across genuine “hidden gems” – when you do come across something you had no idea about – the feeling is unbelievable. I hope these photos of remore Scottish beaches inspire you to plan an adventure of your own!

More people enjoying the outdoors is great - but a small minority are leaving rubbish behind. No one gets paid to clean up natural beauty spots, (I know I'm mainly preaching to the converted) but please take all your litter home and also don’t scorch the earth with fires & BBQs which takes years to recover. You'll be an absolute outdoors legend if you pick up & dispose of any rubbish you do see from others. Finally, when sharing your pics online, please also consider encouraging responsible & sustainable enjoyment of the outdoors too. We're all influencers to some extent!
