MY PERSONAL OPINION ON THIS PADDLE BOARD

MY FIRST BLUEFIN CRUISE 10’8 PADDLE BOARD (2021 v3 Model)

After much deliberation and research (I like to look into things before making a purchase!) I bought my very first Bluefin Cruise 10’8 inflatable Paddle Board back in 2021 and it was the v3 model. I had tried a few other Paddle Board brands through renting them out as you do in various waterfront places and borrowing others from friends and was very impressed by the features and stability of the Bluefin SUP so that is the one I went for and bought (I don’t mind paying a little bit extra for quality & durability). Six years later I and my family are still using the Bluefin Cruise SUP bough in 2021 so that is pretty good going – I didn’t expect it to last that long.

However with my kids getting older I wanted an extra Paddleboard for us (the kids love paddle boarding so I’ll jump on anything that gets them outdoors) So I had no hesitation in getting another Bluefin Cruise 10’8 Paddle board – (in 2026 the newest model was the v6, actually released in 2025) It was the same price as I paid all those years ago – but I was to find had some noticeable enhancements. The Bluefin Cruise 10’8 is still one of the best beginner paddle boards (SUPs) in the UK thanks to its stability, durability, and all-in-one package. The latest version is lighter, easier to use, and even better designed than the 2021 model, making it ideal for new and casual paddlers. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it. I always think you generally get what you pay for – and I don’t seek out the cheapest items as I don’t think they trend to last or have quality. I’m happy paying a little bit more for something that will last.

• It’s only around 9.1kg total weight

• I’m impressed by how much lighter it is –  meaning less space taken up in my car and it’s much easier to carry on your back so I’d be happier walking more with it

Thanks to its width:

• Very beginner-friendly
• Great for balance
• Suitable for heavier riders
• As mentioned I had tried quite a few paddle board brands, some cheap, some more pricier – and the Cruise is the easiest model for me to stand up on

Glide & Speed (★★★☆☆)

The Bluefin Cruise is not a performance racing SUP.

Instead it gives:

• Smooth cruising
• Predictable movement
• Relaxed paddling experience
• This is suitable for most people unless you are a bit of a paddle board pro!

Tracking (★★★★☆)

The updated fin system improves:

• Straight-line paddling
• Control in light chop

Durability (★★★★★)

Bluefin boards are known for being extremely tough.

From my own experience of owning a Bluefin Cruise it:

• Handles bumps and scrapes

• And it will let you years if well looked after
